Apparel & Textiles
We are a sewing factory that produces men’s, women’s, and children’s garments using circular knitted fabrics. Since 2011, we have been producing our own fabrics using high quality yarns such as cotton, Supima cotton, viscose, spandex, polyester, modal, and bamboo, sourced from India, Korea, China, Indonesia, and Thailand. The fabrics are knitted and dyed in Saigon City before being cut and sewn in our dress factory in Vietnam, allowing us to maintain consistent quality, control costs, and reduce lead times through efficient production management.
Our facility includes 15 sewing lines, 2 sample lines, and QC processes meeting AQL 1.5 standards. With a design team to support new styles and English speaking merchandisers to ensure smooth communication, we aim to streamline the production process. As a reliable Vietnam clothing manufacturer and garment factory, we also assist with sourcing trims and accessories to meet diverse design needs.
We firmly believe that sustainable economies develop from businesses that operate fairly and ethically and create products that people want. Having spent a combined decade living in Nairobi, we've seen how much both corruption and aid can distort markets, resulting in wasted resources and unsustainable livelihoods. We hope that by paying fair wages, sourcing locally, and making a product that our customers truly love, we will be helping to support a long-term, sustainable economy in Kenya. We're grateful to be able to work with partners and teams that inspire us to keep doing better and learning more and we hope you'll join us for the ride!

A world of timeless designs that honour the people who make them and the places they’re made. Kotn started with a simple and in retrospect, naive—goal to create the perfect t-shirt. A shirt that didn’t compromise on quality, price, or the integrity of the people who made it. Today, we’re a certified B Corporation voted Best for the World™, with the fourth-highest B Impact Score of apparel brands in North America. With each order, we invest in the creation of jobs, infrastructure, systems, and education to alleviate poverty and create shared, sustainable growth for the communities we are part of.
At Kotn, we believe in buying less and enjoying longer. A process of sustainability that starts with us creating considered, timeless pieces that are built to last, and ends with you, caring for them for years to come. To reduce micro-plastics leached from synthetic materials, we focus on the finest natural fibres, which can biodegrade at the end of their life cycle. Our preferred fibres and materials are ecologically and socially progressive to align with global sustainability standards, each sourced through a transparent chain of custody starting at the root: the farms.
At Christy Dawn, Mother Earth is our powerful teacher. We look to her for guidance, celebrating the beauty and resilience of nature throughout our entire process. From the start, we aimed to tread lightly, produce sustainably, and honor Mother Earth with every decision we made. Then we evolved. To truly heal, we needed to make a bigger impact. So, we started a regenerative cotton farm in collaboration with our loving partners at Oshadi Collective.
Through this process, we came to appreciate that making a significant impact means drawing down carbon, growing biodiversity, and growing relationships! For our cotton garments, we use cotton from our regenerative farm for our Farm-to-Closet collection. (You will know your garment is from our farm if the tag says “Farm-to-Closet”). We also work with organic cotton that, while not from our farm, meets rigorous earth-friendly and people-friendly standards. Additionally, we utilize leftover fabric (called “deadstock”). If curious about any of these buckets of cotton ask! We’re here to converse.
