About This Company
Furniture design and manufacturing have defined Arper since its founding in Monastier di Treviso in 1989. The family-owned, independently run company develops chairs and stools, sofas and lounge seating, benches, tables, low tables, panels, storage, and accessories for contemporary interiors. Its collections address the changing relationship between living, working, and shared environments, with systems intended to combine practical use, comfort, and visual restraint. Modular seating and furniture components can be configured for different settings, while a selection of fabrics, leathers, and finishes supports varied interior requirements.
Arper applies a human-centered design approach that begins with the needs and experiences of people using its furniture. Its work extends across home, work, public, learning, waiting, and outdoor spaces, where adaptable furnishings can be assembled, disassembled, maintained, reused, and recycled. Material research is part of its responsible business agenda. Catifa Carta uses PaperShell, formed from 29 paper sheets bonded with a natural resin binder, while Catifa 46 has been reinterpreted with a shell made from recycled plastic derived from post-consumer and post-industrial waste. The company also pursues Nco2Factory, a research and innovation initiative exploring furniture designed and produced with a negative carbon footprint.
