About This Company
Bookmobile provides short-run digital book printing and art book printing for publishers, museums, galleries, artists, university presses, and literary presses. Its production options include paperback and hardcover books, exhibition catalogs, fine art photography books, galleys, trade paperbacks, training manuals, reference manuals, workbooks, and cookbooks. Available features include flexible trim sizes, CMYK color interiors and inserts, foil stamping, embossing, debossing, vellum dust jackets or inserts, end sheets, French flaps, die-cut covers, slipcases, case wraps, and gloss, matte, and soft-touch velvet matte lamination. Binding formats include perfect binding, PUR binding, hardcover casing, plastic spiral, wire-o, and drilled sheets.
The independently owned business began in 1982 as a design and typesetting production house, added print services in 1996, and introduced distribution services in 2004. Digital print orders can run from 25 to 3,000 copies, with up to 6,000 copies in special circumstances. Books can range from 16 to 1,430 pages, subject to interior paper, and use standard, specialty, or custom portrait and landscape trim sizes up to 12 inches square. Five perfect binding lines include a PUR binder for coated-paper interiors. Warehousing, fulfillment, dropship distribution, automatic print replenishment, book design, eBook conversion, eBook distribution, and direct-to-consumer eBook sales support extend its print production work.
