Cleveland Compressors is Western Australia’s largest independent provider of air compressors, compressor products and services. An air compressor is a machine that converts power into kinetic energy by compressing and pressurising atmospheric air. This air is then released for use in tooling, instrumentation, and other process applications as an energy source.

Compressed air is the fourth utility in industry, due to its widespread use. It is used in pneumatics (the use of pressurised gases to produce mechanical motion), such as to operate air tools, instrumentation and controls, etc. It is also used as an energy storage medium, in air brakes (mainly in railway systems), in scuba diving for breathing and inflating buoyancy devices, in air start systems in engines, for filing tires, and to provide critical medical air and surgical air in hospitals.
