Southern Roofing is a family owned roofing company, operated by Thomas Armstrong, and serving the Northwest Louisiana region. The company was started after coming to the realization that customers in this part of the state have very few choices when it comes to having quality roof work, as well as general maintenance work performed on their home. We take a great deal of pride in our work. The desire for our work to be right every time is why we hand-nail all of our shingle roofs instead of cutting corners with nail guns.

People often ask if I'm just a business owner or if I've ever actually roofed. Well, I roofed my first house more than 20 years ago and have been roofing and remodeling ever since. In 2013, following a stint with another local company, I made the decision to open Southern Roofing. Why did I start Southern Roofing? The answer is really simple; it just didn't seem right that there were, and are, so few roofing companies in Shreveport/Bossier that strive to be honest with their customers and do quality work.
