Our grass-fed beef is raised humanely and how nature intended, with no hormones or antibiotics added. Due to demand, Hood Farms partners with a few other local farms that adhere to the same stringent management styles we raise our animals with, so even if your beef doesn't come straight from our pastures, you can still be assured you are getting a premium product with the best grazing practices we can offer. Freshly sawed wood is known as “green wood”, which has the potential to warp and crack when you put it in your home. At Hood Farms, we specialize in producing a truly premium product. We don’t sell any green wood. Everything is kiln-dried in house, which removes all of the moisture and gets it ready to work into furniture. Our vacuum kiln is specially designed to to dry thicker stock, which allows us to saw larger slabs — as wide as 76 inches!
