Itapema ranks first in the ranking of properties with the highest appreciation in the region. The information is from the Yearbook of the Real Estate Scenario in 2018, which has just been completed by the Housing Union (Secovi). The properties achieved increased on average 8.9% in square meters of apartments - twice the rate achieved in 2017.

The four-bedroom apartments, with the highest sales value, were also the ones that had the greatest appreciation: the index reached 10.2% between January to December last year. The survey evaluated the sale price of properties in Itapema , Itajaí and Balneário Camboriú, the three largest markets in the region. Among the three municipalities, Balneário saw an increase in the average appreciation, which jumped from 4% in 2017 to 5.9% in 2018. Itajaí registered a retraction - from 5.5% to 0.8%.
