Since 1993, RoLanka International, Inc. has supplied natural fiber materials for erosion and sediment control, soil bioengineering, horticulture, wetland restoration, and streambank and shoreline rehabilitation. Its GeoNatural™ product line is manufactured from coir, or coconut fiber, and includes erosion control blankets, coir logs, wattles, and sediment control materials. The company positions coir as a biodegradable alternative to synthetic materials, intended to stabilize soil, protect vulnerable land and waterways, and encourage vegetation establishment during restoration and construction work.
