One Handmade Ceramic

TurkeyEtiler, F.S.M. Mahallesi,, Bilgi Sokak, No:23, Sariyer Istanbul 34470, Turkey
Behind the visitor experience, the workshop operates a small production line of decorative homewares, tea light holders, coasters, and vases, sold online and through local gift shops. Finished workshop pieces are fired in an electric kiln and shipped back to participants within two weeks. Selin also conducts evening thematic sessions, such as Ebru Meets Clay (combining paper marbling with ceramic glazing), demonstrating the studio’s innovative approach to cross media craft experiences.

Geared toward tourists, One Handmade Ceramic offers daily 2.5 hour workshops where visitors learn hand building, slip decoration, and glazing. The studio’s owner, Selin Kara, sources Romanian clay bodies and Turkish glaze pigments, guiding guests through creating personalized souvenirs. Each session includes a brief historical overview of Anatolian ceramics, followed by hands on clay shaping and an opportunity to paint traditional Iznik motifs on bisque ware.
