Grupo Fertica combines agricultural fertilizer production with industrial chemical supply, serving crop production and industrial applications across Central America and the Caribbean. Operations began in 1963 with the inauguration of a production complex in Carrizal de Puntarenas. The facility incorporates plants for chemical and liquid fertilizers and physical mixtures, together with raw material and finished goods handling and storage, a quality control laboratory, maintenance workshop, and offices. Beyond agriculture, the company supplies industrial raw materials and finished products to multiple sectors, including ammonia and sulfur for industrial uses. It also operates the only sulfuric acid plant in Central America, an important asset within its chemical manufacturing base.
