For more than 50 years, Italpollina S.p.A. has converted chicken manure collected from farms in the Verona area into organic fertilizers and soil improvers. The family business transforms an animal byproduct that can be costly to manage into nutrient-rich agricultural inputs, applying a circular economy model to manure recovery. Its proprietary drying plant uses a 70°C hot-air flow for 60 minutes to treat raw materials, eliminate pathogenic potential, and preserve active plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria.

Manufacturing control extends from raw material selection through production and distribution. Each pallet carries a lot code that enables traceability across the process, while every lot undergoes chemical and microbiological analysis before release. Italpollina holds conformity certification under EC Regulation 1069/2009, Authorization ABP833UFERT2, for the processing of animal byproducts, alongside ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. Its fertilizers and soil improvers are designed to increase soil water retention and strengthen crop resistance to drought, contributing to lower irrigation requirements.
