Underarm care is the focus of kaia naturals, a clean beauty company founded in 2016 by product developer Mary Futher, known as Madame Sweat. Drawing on two decades of experience with global beauty brands, the founder developed plant-based hygiene and treatment products for excess odor, perspiration, hyperpigmentation, and irritation associated with shaving. The company’s Takesumi Detox collection combines charcoal underarm cleansing bars, deodorant, and sweat powder in routines designed for odor and moisture management. Its brightening system pairs a kojic acid dipalmitate bar with deodorant to address uneven underarm tone.

Formulation priorities include ingredients and formats suited to sensitive skin. Selected deodorants are made without aluminum, baking soda, parabens, and synthetic fragrance, while using moisture-absorbing powders and a cream-to-powder finish. The business uses lightly scented essential oil fragrance blends developed with a perfumer and maintains vegan and cruelty-free product standards where possible. kaia naturals is certified cruelty-free and requires the same testing practice from its vendors. Packaging reduction is also embedded in operations through a three-year plan to reduce the company’s packaging footprint.
