Museum collections are the focus of Meyvaert, a Belgian designer and producer of display cases and complete showcase installations for cultural institutions worldwide. Its portfolio spans modular cases available from stock, configurable design solutions, and fully custom enclosures developed for individual projects. The company works from a client’s presentation, conservation, and security requirements to create structural and technical designs that support exhibition narratives while protecting objects. Its work includes recessed wall cases, wall-mounted cases, table cases, glass hoods, and larger integrated museum fit-outs for artefacts ranging from fragile documents to heavy or unusually shaped collection items.

Rooted in a family glass shop established in Ghent in 1826, the business developed from mirror production and glass finishing into museum showcase engineering after creating a display case for St. Bavo’s Cathedral in the 1960s. Conservation capabilities have expanded to include laminated glass for ultraviolet protection, integrated LED lighting, passive humidity regulation, temperature-controlled cases, and oxygen-free enclosures. A modern Ghent facility combines offices and a multifunctional production hall, enabling engineers and designers to observe prototype assembly and finished production. Since joining the Haerens Group in 2013, the company has completed more than 2,000 installations worldwide for institutions including the Imperial War Museum, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the Smithsonian.
