Built from a single colour letterpress operation established in Manama in 1952, Oriental Press has developed into a global print manufacturing group serving publishers, brand owners and commercial customers. Its five business divisions cover book production, paperboard and flexible packaging, commercial printing, security printing and digital printing. The group produces colour books for international publishing programmes, folding cartons and commercial materials, while its flexible packaging operations use flexographic printing, lamination and slitting. Paperboard capabilities include straight-line, four-corner and six-corner cartons, together with laminated substrates and finishing processes such as UV varnishing, foiling, blade fixing and window patching.

Manufacturing operations in Dubai and Bahrain encompass 45,000 square metres of production space, while the London team coordinates sales and production requirements with the group’s plants. More than 70 percent of output is exported to over 80 international markets. Security printing assignments are performed under ISO 14298 and include cheques, certificates, stamps and tickets incorporating features such as fluorescent paper and inks and invisible patterns. The group also operates digital printing for short production runs and variable data applications, including personalised certificates, invitations, proposals and direct mail. Its management systems include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001, alongside food safety requirements under FSSC 22000 and BRC packaging standards.
