Printcare PLC provides design-to-delivery printing and packaging solutions for tea, beverages, pharmaceuticals, apparel, FMCG, publishing, telecommunications, financial services, tobacco and lotteries. Its packaging portfolio includes tea bag tags, envelopes and pyramid tea bag mesh, as well as folding cartons and display boxes. The company produces pressure-sensitive labels, in-mould labels, lamitubes, shrink sleeves, stretch sleeves, paper labels, wet-glue labels and wash-off labels. Label finishing capabilities include flexographic and offset printing, silk-screen printing, foiling, printing on foil, die cutting, embossing, varnishing and lamination. It also produces security products including scratch cards, lottery tickets, prepaid telephone cards, promotional games and security certificates.

Founded in 1980 as Printcare Ceylon Ltd., the business developed packaging for Sri Lanka's tea bag industry before expanding into cartons, labels, flexible packaging, pre-media and security printing. Manufacturing facilities operate in Sri Lanka and India, while a sales office in the United Kingdom serves European clients. Tea bag tags and envelopes are supplied from the Sri Lankan and Indian manufacturing bases and consumed in more than 40 countries. Its pre-press operation manages artwork, proof, plate and press workflows, using CIP3 file technology for ink profiling. In-house design and customer-service teams support packaging development, while variable data imaging is used for labels, inventory numbering and anti-counterfeiting applications. The company reports a workforce of approximately 650 employees.
