SESVanderHave NV develops, produces and commercializes sugar beet seed for growers and the sugar industry. Its work spans the full seed cycle, from breeding new varieties through seed processing and international distribution. The company markets blue sugar beet seed and develops varieties around the agronomic requirements of individual growing markets. Its portfolio addresses demanding cultivation conditions through systems such as CONVISO® SMART for weed control, CERCOTECH® varieties with resistance to Cercospora, and tropical beet genetics.

Headquartered in Tienen, Belgium, SESVanderHave processes sugar beet seed at one of its principal factories and sells more than one million units of 100,000 seeds each year in over 50 countries. Its seed processing operations remove inert material and unsuitable seed fractions, blend lots for batch homogeneity, and clean seed before final treatment and distribution. Processing sites in Tienen and Holeby, Denmark, hold ESTA certification for beet seed treatment. The business draws on a seed heritage that began with VanderHave in 1879, while sugar beet selection and breeding began in 1941.
