The iXS brand has stood for highly functional protective clothing for motorcycles and mountain bikes since 1979 and is represented worldwide. Numerous awards for innovative product concepts and designs underscore the company's high quality standards. Engineers mountain bike protective gear, helmets, body armor and gloves. Helmet shells are injection molded from silicone ti compounds, then bonded to EPS liners via heat activated adhesive films. A hands on assembly line fits adjustable micrometric dials, moisture wicking liners, and MIPS® rotational slip liners before each helmet undergoes multi axis impact tests. Their armor division sources Dyneema® fibers for abrasion panels and molds D3O® impact pads in precision thermoforming presses. Materials testing labs characterize foam stiffness, shake table test prototypes to failure, and conduct sweat chamber trials for strap durability. Final QC includes 3D scanning to verify shell geometry and fit matrix conformance across sizes.
We are a safety and performance pioneer on a global mission: protect lives and reduce the consequences of accidents for athletes and anyone inspired to be one. At the core of everything we believe and do lies data, research, and rigorous testing. Whether on the mountains, trails, or winding roads, a ride with POC is a ride protected by science. Every one of our products starts the same: by finding and defining a problem. What follows is a meticulous process guided by three core principles: safety, performance and design. From material selection to shaping to colour and everything in between, every product decision is weighed according to these principles until we achieve the best possible harmony between the three, resulting in well-crafted protection for elite-level performance. But harmony does not mean conformity. With an explorative and curious mindset, we’re not afraid to create products that break convention and stand out from the crowd.
Conceptualized, developed, and began building canoes in 1984. We added kayaks to our product offering in 1995. By 2011, we began building our incredibly popular Pack Boats. Over the years, our goal has always been to build the ultimate recreational, light touring, and tripping boats. We have proudly realized that goal many times over in every boat that we build. Our passion for product development and innovation has never wavered. We began our journey by focusing on the need for functional, technically advanced canoes and kayaks that could provide true performance to the paddler. Next, we sought out the most knowledgeable people in the industry to collaborate with our R&D team. Together, we developed new design features and determined the performance characteristics each boat must have. With every new model, the same careful steps have been followed. Every boat tells a story. Every boat has a history.
Carbon composite kayak and stand up paddleboard paddles. Engineers lay unidirectional carbon fiber over custom aluminum molds, vacuum bag the assemblies, and cure them in a low pressure oven. After cure, each blade is hand shaped with diamond grit tools to achieve the company’s signature tear drop profile and is torque tested on a digital gauge to ±0.1 Nm accuracy. Their production line also includes a resin lab where technicians formulate proprietary epoxy blends for optimal flex and impact resistance. Paddle shafts—made from split tapered carbon or hybrid fiberglass cores—are cut to length on automated saws, then manually assembled with O-ring ferrules to ensure watertight seals. Every paddle passes through a water flow tank to measure thrust curves before being serialized and shipped globally.

Organizers, teams, and venues are recognizing that the vitality of the industry depends not only on vibrant events but also on their impact on the planet. As public awareness of climate change intensifies, green practices are becoming more than a trend; they are a necessary standard. The environmental footprint of large-scale events has long been a concern for organizers and communities alike. Traditional sporting and leisure events generate significant waste and emit considerable carbon, whether through energy consumption, transportation, or the disposal of materials. This reality has prompted concerted efforts to recalibrate operations and adopt practices that responsibly reduce adverse environmental impacts. Event organizers are now reimagining their strategies to align with sustainability principles while maintaining high levels of engagement and entertainment value. Green events are characterized by the use of renewable energy sources, waste reduction initiatives, and environmentally friendly materials throughout the planning and execution process. This approach requires careful reevaluation of every aspect of event management, from ticketing and transportation to catering and on-site operations. Innovative practices are emerging, such as incorporating solar-powered illumination and eco-friendly sound systems, which help minimize energy consumption. Additionally, many event venues are transitioning toward zero-waste goals by implementing comprehensive recycling programs and encouraging the use of reusable products. This shift not only reduces environmental impact but also sets a new standard for operational excellence in the industry. The influence of green events extends far beyond environmental metrics; they also have a profound social impact. By championing sustainability, organizers are inspiring fans, athletes, and local communities to adopt greener habits in their daily lives. The collaborative ethos of many green initiatives fosters a strong sense of community pride and collective responsibility, highlighting the deep interconnection between sporting excellence and environmental stewardship. Planning sustainable events demands a holistic approach and innovative problem-solving. Organizers work closely with experts in environmental science and sustainable logistics to design strategies that minimize waste and lower emissions. These interdisciplinary partnerships enable the creation of events that are not only thrilling and memorable but also models of efficiency and respect for natural resources. The industry’s shift toward green events is bolstered by a rising demand from consumers and sponsors who value environmental accountability. Fans are increasingly drawn to events that embody green principles, while corporate sponsors are eager to associate their brands with sustainability-focused initiatives. This synergy between market demand and environmental responsibility is propelling the industry to reframe success in broader, more impactful terms. The future rests on the ability to innovate responsibly and lead by example. As the movement toward sustainability gathers momentum, green events will become an integral part of the industry’s narrative, proving that high energy and environmental consciousness can coexist harmoniously. Embracing these practices not only benefits the planet but also secures the long-term vitality and integrity of the industry itself.

Born in the Foothills of the Canadian Rockies we have deep roots in creating game-changing sports technology. Haven’t heard of 4iiii before? We can guarantee you that you’ve used technology invented by our co-founders. It all goes back to the year 1999, when a small Canadian company named Dynastream was about to make a large impact in the sports technology industry. The technology invented was a little thing known as ANT+. Working with brands like Nike, Dynastream helped develop a speed and distance monitor along with the Nike foot pod. ANT+ quickly became the standard communication protocol for wireless fitness devices and Dynastream was sold in 2006 to Garmin.
