Egmont Group is a Nordic media enterprise foundation that brings stories to audiences through books, magazines, television, film, series, games and cinemas. Its portfolio comprises more than 50 companies and brands, including the publishers Cappelen Damm and Lindhardt og Ringhof, Story House Egmont, Nordisk Film, TV 2 in Norway and Nordisk Games. The group publishes books, educational resources, magazines and digital media, produces and distributes films and series, operates television channels and streaming services, and develops gaming experiences. Its cinema business operates 46 locations across Denmark, Norway and Sweden, while its e-commerce activities extend into consumer lifestyle categories.

Founded in Copenhagen in 1878 by Egmont Harald Petersen as a printing business, the organisation developed into a publishing company before expanding across the Nordic media sector. It has operated as a commercial foundation since 1920, combining media activities with philanthropic support for children and young people in vulnerable circumstances. About DKK 100 million of annual media business profits is allocated to initiatives in Denmark, Sweden and Norway that address education, participation and life opportunities. The group also invests in production technology, including a full 360° LED stage at Nordisk Film for virtual film and series production. Its publishing operations cover print and digital learning materials for schools, youth programmes and higher education institutions.
