Ferrino e C. S.p.A.

Founded in 1870, Ferrino e C. S.p.A. designs and produces outdoor clothing and equipment for mountaineering, trekking, camping, fast hiking and travel. Its principal lines include tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and night accessories, technical jackets and layers, snowshoes, poles, cooking equipment, drinking accessories and protective apparel. The company traces its origins to Cesare Ferrino's early work on waterproof fabrics in Turin and continues to develop products for both everyday outdoor activity and demanding expeditions. Product development combines design, engineering, three-dimensional modelling, prototyping, laboratory evaluation and field testing.

Based in Turin near the Alps, the family-directed business is managed by the Ferrino and Rabajoli families and employs a team of 70 people across design, production and international distribution. Designers and technicians test products with athletes, outdoor professionals and university research centres, while materials research addresses durability, adaptability, weather protection and freedom of movement. Tent development includes wind tunnel testing for severe conditions, and backpack construction draws on technical materials such as Dyneema, Cordura and reinforced laminated fabrics. Its Re Life programme extends product use through care, repair and regeneration, reflecting a sustainability framework that covers the environment, people, products and supply chain.
