Zempire Camping Equipment

Zempire Camping designs and supplies outdoor camping equipment, with inflatable air tents as its central product line. Its range includes family air tents, air shelters and gazebos, pole and hiking tents, sleeping pads, camp mattresses, pillows, cot stretchers, camping stoves, tables, chairs, wagons, pumps and lighting. The tents use inflatable airframes and pre-attached flies to support fast pitching and packing. Product options include the Air Canvas, Shapeshifter, Pro, Evo and Aerospeed tent series, with modular sleeping, living and awning components available for the Shapeshifter range. Accessories include shelter links, footprints, heat-shield covers, liners, awning wall sets and sunrooms for canvas tents.

Founded by Richard and Sophie Knauf, the family business develops its products in New Zealand and tests them in rugged outdoor conditions, including wind, rain and strong UV exposure. Richard leads design decisions, while Sophie works with outdoor-industry manufacturing partners in China. The team visits manufacturing facilities annually and quality checks each production run. Air Canvas tents use durable, breathable canvas materials, while Aerospeed models use low-water-use Dura-Core fabric and are designed for portable transport. The business has developed a global distributor network over more than 16 years, with products available across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and North America. It also provides parts, repairs, warranty support, procurement coordination and retail account support.
