Folex AG finishes and coats films and foils for the printing, digital printing and electronics industries, as well as for special-product applications. Its portfolio includes Dialux® R-50 backlit film for water-based and latex inks, REGU® Pure Active Release 200 roll-up film, and Folacoat Pure coating plates made with plant-based PU and recycled polyester. The company also provides contract coating and develops client-specific coating solutions. Its PureLine programme includes products designed to use recycled materials or enable recovery of plastic from coated display films.

The family-owned business traces its roots to the 19th century and manufactures at three production sites in Switzerland and Germany. Its coating operations use water-based and solvent-based formulations, with thermal energy or UV curing for drying and curing. Pilot-scale and production equipment support different production volumes, while clean-room manufacturing is available where required. Further processing includes converting production rolls into short rolls or final formats. Teams of chemists, material scientists and application specialists develop products for regular production and provide development consulting for customer projects. The company has adopted a transformation concept targeting a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2045.
