FORTISCHEM a. s. operates an integrated chemical manufacturing base in Nováky, producing calcium carbide, PVC materials, hydrochloric acid, chlorine and sodium hydroxide for industrial markets. Its PVC portfolio includes SLOVINYL® grades, components and films for industrial applications, as well as leather, wallpaper and floor coverings. The company combines product supply with process solutions shaped around the operational requirements of business partners. Analytical services extend this capability through its Centre for Analytical Technology, where laboratories are organised by analytical technique, instrumentation and automated analysers.

Chemical production in Nováky has developed through successive modernisation, with calcium carbide capacity reaching 80,000 tonnes annually. PVC production now uses imported raw materials and chlorine from a membrane electrolysis plant commissioned in 2018 for chlorine and sodium hydroxide production. In 2023, the company commissioned a new furnace for hydrochloric acid production, strengthening its production infrastructure. More than 80 percent of total output is exported, and its products reach customers in over 60 countries.
