Schill+Seilacher GmbH develops and manufactures speciality and performance chemicals for paper finishing, technical textiles, leather, care products and man-made fibres. Its paper portfolio covers coatings, impregnation, anti-slip products for flexographic printing, additives and process additives. Chemical products for technical textiles include flame retardants, biocides, hydrophobising and oleophobic agents, softeners, finishing agents and other specialities. The leather range serves automotive, clothing, footwear and furniture upholstery applications, with products for flame retardancy and impregnation. Care chemicals include glutamate surfactants, sarcosinate surfactants, POLYFIX odour absorbers, SILAPHOS phosphate esters, Pair2Phase products and the Rheo2Green series. Spin finishes are supplied for nonwovens, POY and DTY, flat yarns, BCF and staple fibres.

Founded in Heilbronn in 1877, the company began by making speciality products for the leather industry. The foundation-owned group operates independently functioning production sites in Böblingen and Hamburg, alongside sites in Pirna, Villa Rica, Ohio, and further group operations. The Böblingen operation manufactures chemicals for chemical fibre production and processing, textiles, leather and paper, as well as cosmetic additives. Hamburg develops and produces speciality chemicals for rubber processing, including defoamers, polymer dispersions, silicone emulsions and latex supply products. The group employs about 900 people worldwide and maintains ISO 9001:2015 quality management, ISO 14001:2015 environmental management and ISO 50001:2018 energy management certifications, as well as an RSPO certificate. Research and development supports its product activities, and regulatory work includes participation in REACH registration.
