Socomore

Five decades of industrial chemistry underpin Socomore’s role in surface preparation, treatment, inspection and protection for demanding manufacturing and maintenance operations. Its products serve aerospace original equipment manufacturers and maintenance organizations, as well as automotive, rail, metals, energy, infrastructure and marine industries. The portfolio covers solvent and water based cleaning, degreasing, paint and sealant removal, adhesion promotion, corrosion protection, coatings, lubricants, disinfection and nondestructive testing. Formats include liquids, gels, presaturated and dry wipes, peelable protective coatings and corrosion inhibiting compounds. Aerospace products approved by original equipment manufacturers are used throughout production and maintenance processes.

Laboratories with expertise in material physics, mineral chemistry, organic chemistry and electrochemistry guide product development, while factories and a global supply chain are paired with local teams close to customer operations. The company also supplies packaged consumables for cable installation, jointing, production and maintenance across high, medium and low voltage applications, both onshore and offshore. Its research addresses REACH requirements, volatile organic compound emissions and the replacement of hexavalent chromium and other carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic substances. Life Cycle Assessment informs product design, alongside priorities for bio sourced and lower carbon raw materials, local production and reductions in the environmental and health impacts of products and processes.
