Yip's Chemical Holdings Limited

Yip's Chemical Holdings Limited produces, sells and markets chemical products, with business activities in coatings, inks, lubricants, chemical vapour recovery and treatment, and solvents. Its solvents associate produces industrial organic solvents including ethyl acetate, normal butyl acetate, normal propyl acetate, mixed butyl acetate and butyl acrylate. These materials are used in coatings, tanneries, medicines, adhesives and battery industries. The group is China's largest inks manufacturer and a top 10 coatings manufacturer in China. Its coatings and inks are developed with attention to functionality and sustainability, while the group also provides value-added services connected with its chemical businesses.

Founded in 1971, the group began as Hang Cheung Hong, selling thinner from a small shop in Sai Wan, Hong Kong, and was listed in Hong Kong in 1991. The solvents business has production bases in Zhuhai, Guangdong; Taixing, Jiangsu; and Jingmen, Hubei, and uses direct sales through a network serving China and overseas markets. In 2022, the group sold its controlling interest in the solvents business to PAG while retaining a 24% equity interest in upstream acetate solvents. Environmental management is overseen by a board Health, Safety and Environment Committee, and several plants operate volatile organic compound treatment facilities.
