GfN Manufacturing of Natural Extracts GmbH produces natural extracts and active ingredients for cosmetic formulations, building on a foundation in collagen solutions, collagen and elastin products, plant polysaccharides, and selected specialty materials. Its portfolio serves skin care, deodorants, decorative cosmetics, and products addressing hydration, elasticity, irritation, skin regeneration, and signs of aging. Ingredients include combinations of atelocollagen and hyaluronic acid in different molecular weights, natural bisabolol actives, licorice-derived glycyrrhizinate, botanical extracts, oils, exfoliants, and cosmetic vitamins. The business combines materials of natural origin with scientifically developed actives for formulation work across cosmetics, pharmaceutical applications, and nutritional supplements.

Founded in 1983 by Heidrun and Helmut Lindner, the company began operations in Hammelbach near Heidelberg and moved in 1987 to a purpose-built production facility in Wald-Michelbach. Production of natural extracts for cosmetic use has continued there since that time. A cooperation with Czech hyaluronic acid producer Contipro a.s. began in 1992, extending access to hyaluronic acid for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutrition applications. Since 1997, the associated Selco trading business has added distribution of selected cosmetic actives from international producers, complementing in-house manufacturing with a broader ingredient sourcing and technical support model for new product lines and relaunches.
