Katadyn Group

Katadyn Group brings together brands focused on self-sufficient drinking water, nutrition and cooking for use away from conventional infrastructure. Its water portfolio covers personal filtration, disinfection, microfiltration, ultraviolet purification, desalination, and systems for land-based and marine applications. The group also supplies portable gas, liquid-fuel and hybrid stoves, cooking accessories, freeze-dried meals, and emergency rations. These products serve outdoor travel and camping, boating, tactical operations, emergency preparedness, relief work, and commercial water treatment requirements. Founding brand Katadyn has developed personal water treatment products for the outdoor and marine sectors for more than 90 years.

Headquartered in Kemptthal, Zurich, the Swiss corporate group employs about 200 people through subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Its brand portfolio includes Katadyn, Micropur, Steripen, Spectra Watermakers, Optimus, Trek’n Eat, AlpineAire Foods, Pharmavoyage, and Certisil. For marine and industrial use, the group produces desalination systems with energy recovery technology, corrosion-resistant water treatment equipment, and manually operated emergency desalinators. Its commercial activities also include thermoplastic injection molding in Kemptthal, including technical parts for small and medium production series, and food contract packaging in Rocklin, California. Water treatment systems are used aboard ships and platforms, in food and beverage operations, remote communities, and humanitarian settings.
