Lanolips hand-manufactures lanolin-rich balms and lip treatments in a Melbourne micro-factory. They source medical-grade lanolin from New Zealand sheep farms and purify it via triple-distillation in stainless steel stills to remove impurities. The refined lanolin is then blended, by weight, with nourishing oils (rosehip, avocado) and antioxidant powders (vitamin E, vitamin C) in 10 kg planetary mixers.
Each formula is filled into reusable steel tins under a laminar-flow hood to guarantee sterility without preservatives. Their QC team measures peroxide value and free-fatty-acid levels on every lot, while organoleptic panels ensure consistent texture and aroma. Lanolips offers a refill-by-post service: customers return empty tins to be sanitized and recharged, reducing packaging waste by over 60%.
