MiCOM Labs, Inc. conducts regulatory compliance testing and product certification for wireless, radio frequency, electromagnetic compatibility, safety, and cybersecurity requirements. Founded in 2001 by Gordon Hurst, the privately owned, family-driven company works with manufacturers of connected and telecommunications products seeking market approvals. Its laboratory capabilities cover RF and cellular technologies, Wi-Fi, antenna characterization, EMC and EMI, environmental testing, and device cybersecurity under the European Radio Equipment Directive. Measurements include radiated and conducted emissions, immunity, receiver sensitivity, frequency hopping, dynamic frequency selection, output power, antenna gain, and three-dimensional radiation patterns.

The company operates as an A2LA-accredited ISO/IEC 17025 test facility and an ISO/IEC 17065 certification body. It is authorized to issue product compliance certificates for the FCC, ISED Canada, and Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and holds Notified Body status under European RED and EMC directives as well as Approved Body status for UK regulations. Proprietary MiTest automation integrates testing and reporting, while MiCMS manages certification documentation, reviews, and status tracking. MiCOM Labs also supports independent accredited laboratories through acceptance of test data and certification services across FCC, ISED, MIC, European Union, and UKCA programs. Operations extend internationally through offices in China and India.
