Nampak Ltd. is a metal packaging manufacturer producing aluminium beverage cans and ends, tinplate food cans, aerosol cans, aluminium bottles, monobloc cans, general-line metal containers, shoe and floor polish tins, and easy-opening and peel-off ends. Its beverage packaging serves alcoholic drinks, carbonated soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices, energy drinks, iced teas, wine, milk-based products, and mineral water. Beverage cans are available in slimline, slender, ultra-sleek, and standard formats, with offset lithographic printing in up to eight colours, coloured ends, laser-etched tabs, specialty inks, and printing finishes.

The company operates manufacturing facilities in South Africa and Angola, including beverage plants in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Angola, and diversified packaging facilities in Vanderbijlpark, Paarl, Mobeni, Epping, and Rosslyn. Its diversified metal packaging output serves food, personal care, household goods, DIY, and industrial markets, with approximately 60% of volume supplied to the food industry. Manufacturing plants operate HACCP programmes and hold ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and FSSC 22000 (5.1) certifications. Research and development activities cover metallurgy, coatings and inks, aerosol technology, container development, food and beverage technology, thermal process validation, and shelf-life studies. Technical teams also provide packaging development, hygiene audits, efficiency support, and customer personnel training.
