Phytomer

Phytomer is a French marine cosmetics brand founded in 1972 to bring the benefits of the sea to skin care. Its face and body portfolio covers cleansers, exfoliants, serums, day and night creams, eye care, masks, moisturizers, contouring care, and sun care. Formulations draw on marine ingredients, including the Oligomer seawater concentrate, trace elements, marine exosomes, prebiotic complexes, seaweed, and marine samphire. The company also develops organic products through its Cyfolia line and produces care for men. Its treatment expertise extends from retail skin care to protocols used in spa settings.

The family-run business is based in Saint-Malo and has expanded its international presence through collaboration with 10,000 spas in more than 80 countries. It opened its first spa in Saint-Malo in 2000, followed by Phytomer Spa and Wellness locations in Paris. A laboratory focused on marine biotechnologies was established in 2012, reinforcing the company’s research base for marine-derived cosmetic development. Environmental initiatives include green and recyclable packaging introduced in 2020. Phytomer has received the EcoVadis Gold award for environmental practices for seven consecutive years, reflecting its stated focus on responsible packaging and corporate sustainability.
