AlgarOrange

Non-profit business association formed with the aim of representing and defending Algarve Citrus Fruits. It is the official spokesperson for the sector and brings together in a single entity the main companies and organisations whose key objective is the sustained production of high-quality citrus fruits. AlgarOrange has 7 members representing around 40% of the citrus fruit production in the Algarve and 30% of nationwide citrus fruit production.

All members follow the integrated production method, with respect for the environment and minimum use of pesticides. AlgarOrange defends a sustainable business model and proximity to the producers, guided by this common thread that runs across the different production phases: from preparing the land to fertilising and disinfecting the orchards, from irrigating and pruning to harvesting and transporting the fruit. The mission? Ensuring that the citrus fruits reach the end consumers in the least time possible and with the utmost freshness.
