APRIL Group manufactures plantation pulp, paper, paperboard, packaging and tissue products for international markets. Its pulp business produces bleached acacia kraft pulp for paper grades, tissue and specialty applications, drawing on fibre valued for formation, opacity and absorbency. Automated pulping operations chip, screen, cook, wash and bleach wood fibre, while a kraft recovery cycle converts black liquor into biofuel for steam and power generation and recovers pulping chemicals for reuse. Paperboard production serves packaging and food service uses, including paper plates, bowls, containers and hot and cold beverage cups, with materials suited to offset, flexographic and digital printing.

Plantation development and mill operations began in 1993, establishing an integrated model that connects fibre production with pulp and paper manufacturing. The group applies lean manufacturing principles to manage energy and water use and reduce emissions, while laboratory testing assesses paperboard properties and printability before release. Its certification portfolio includes PEFC sustainable forest management and Chain of Custody certification, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 across Riau operations, alongside Indonesian timber legality verification. Selected paperboard grades hold ISEGA food contact certification, FSSC 22000 food safety certification, EU Ecolabel recognition and relevant regional compliance approvals.
