Mouka Limited

Sleep products made from flexible polyurethane foam have defined Mouka Limited since its establishment in Lagos in 1972. The manufacturer produces branded mattresses and foam products for sleep applications, building on a business lineage that began in 1959 with the Moukarim Metalwood factory, which made furniture and iron beds. Its mattress lines include orthopaedic, memory foam, and spring constructions, notably the Wellbeing orthopaedic range and Mondeo spring mattresses. Mouka was the first foam manufacturer in Nigeria to introduce a quality warranty for mattresses and other polyurethane products.

Manufacturing is anchored by facilities in Lagos, Benin, and Kaduna, while a network of distributors, sub-distributors, and Sleep Galleries extends market coverage. Every product in the assortment holds MANCAP certification, and the company has maintained management system certification across quality, environmental, and occupational safety disciplines. Its integrated management system was revalidated in 2021, alongside conversion from BS 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018. The business also participated as a pilot company in a 5S and KAIZEN programme supported by METI, the Japan Productivity Centre, and the National Productivity Centre in Nigeria.
