The National Detergent Company SAOG

Since 1981, The National Detergent Company SAOG has manufactured and marketed soaps, detergents and household care products, combining branded consumer goods production with chemical and institutional supply activities. Its portfolio spans detergent powders and liquids, laundry aids, fabric softeners, dishwashing products, disinfectants, antiseptics, hand hygiene products, shampoos and multipurpose cleaners. Bahar is the company’s flagship household brand, covering core laundry and cleaning categories, while Farah and other brands extend its presence in personal hygiene and home care. A dedicated sulphonation division manufactures and sells linear alkylbenzene sulphonic acid (LABSA).

Production is distributed across five manufacturing units in Sohar, Ghala and the Rusayl Industrial Area. The company also maintains an industrial and institutional division serving the oil and gas and construction sectors. NDC was the first soap and detergent company in the region to receive ISO certification and operates under ISO and GMP standards, with stated controls for product quality, regulatory compliance and environmental performance across products, packaging and operations. Its branded products hold an established position in GCC markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, alongside its long-standing domestic presence.
