Patoro Cigars has produced Dominican cigars since 2001, when Patrik Jonas Martin established the brand after thirteen years with the Oettinger Davidoff Group, where he served as product manager and brand ambassador for Avo and Griffin in Switzerland. Its cigar portfolio is built around long-filler tobaccos and aged leaf, with Gran Añejo Reserva marking the company’s first Dominican series. The line draws on tobacco maturation periods that can extend from nine to twelve years, placing leaf development at the centre of its cigar-making approach.

Production is carried out in partnership with Augusto Reyes, a Dominican tobacco producer representing the sixth generation of a tobacco-growing family. Alongside its cigars, the company makes Dominican cigarillos using tobacco pieces generated during the processing of premium cigars, directing material from cigar manufacture into a separate filler blend. Patoro also develops named cigar series including Brasil, identified with its Cubra wrapper, and Patoro VA, a luxury cigar line within the brand’s collection.
