The Arctic hotel that takes a small army to build every year

Every November, close to a hundred workers descend on the small village of Jukkasjarvi in northern Sweden with one goal and a very tight deadline. What they are building is not a conventional hotel. It is an entirely new structure made from ice and snow, assembled from scratch in a matter of weeks, and it needs to be ready before mid December. The materials alone make the whole operation a logistical puzzle unlike anything in conventional construction. Inside, guests find a main hall, a dedicated ceremony space popular for weddings, and 12 individually designed suites created by artists recruited from across the world. No two rooms look the same, and none of them will exist come spring.
