Apimaye

Apimaye manufactures modular beehives, hive bodies, frames, and accessories for professional and hobbyist beekeeping. Its Ergo system includes food-contact certified HDPE boxes and wooden bodies compatible with commonly used frame standards, including Dadant and Langstroth. The Defender multi-colony hive supports production, queen breeding, rearing, colony unification, wintering, and nucleus management. The product range also includes supers, bottom boards, top covers, feeders, pollen traps, propolis collectors, entrances, queen excluders, and plastic foundation frames. Components are designed for self-assembly and for configuring apiaries around operational requirements.

The family-run business grew from Yıldırım Plastik, founded in Istanbul in 1974, and shifted its focus to apiculture in 2009. Its polymer hive systems use UV-resistant, food-grade HDPE, thermal insulation, screened bottom boards, and adjustable ventilation features. Defender and Ergo products use stainless-steel lock and latch mechanisms that also function as carrying handles and allow hives to be connected for transport. The company works with beekeepers on configurations for large or multiple apiaries and supports distributor partnerships. Its hives are used in more than 50 countries, and the Defender hive received an Apimondia medal in 2011.
