Established in New York City in 1984, the company is the exclusive United States distributor for the Exacompta Clairefontaine Group's finished products. It supplies retailers and wholesalers, including fine stationery, gift, art supply, and office retailers, and provides retailer-only online ordering and product-image resources. More than 95 percent of the group portfolio is made in its own Western European manufacturing facilities, covering notebooks, journals, social stationery, planners, inks, sketchbooks, artist papers, oils, watercolors, and pastels. The group controls production from paper manufacturing through finished goods and operates historic paper mills, including the Clairefontaine Paper Mill and the Schut Paper Mill. Many products use recycled materials and carry FSC or PEFC certification.
