Shachihata Inc. develops Artline writing instruments and stationery, including permanent, whiteboard, paint, metallic-ink and special-purpose markers, drawing and calligraphy pens, highlighters, writing pens, ballpoint pens, poster markers and board markers. Its stationery selection also includes pencils, erasers and correction pens. The Artline range includes SUPREME, StiX, Decorite and Signature brands. The company also supplies stamp pads, indelible inks, stock title stamps, custom-made stamps and Xstamper pre-inked rubber stamps. Xstamper products use an integrated ink reservoir, enabling continuous stamping without a separate stamp pad.

Its products serve office, factory, shop, school, home, art and craft, and DIY applications. Selected ballpoint and gel-ink models are intended for general writing, cards, addressing and carbon copies, with options such as needle-tip, retractable and roller-ball formats. Product specifications identify instant-drying, waterproof, water-resistant, fade-resistant and xylene-free ink characteristics for certain models, while some products conform to RoHS requirements and British Standard BS7272-1.2 requirements for caps and end plugs. The business traces its development to the Mannen Stamp Pad in 1925, was reorganized as Shachihata Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1941, and adopted the name Shachihata Co., Ltd. in 1999. Its network includes operations in Japan and factories in Malaysia and China.
