Kiira Motors Corporation

Kiira Motors Corporation develops, makes, and sells sustainable mobility solutions, with a particular focus on vehicle manufacturing and electric transport. Its current product portfolio centers on the Kayoola EVS electric bus, the Kayoola Coach, and charging equipment for electric mobility operations. The corporation also pursues development and production across conventional, electric, and new energy buses, pickups, sport utility vehicles, light and medium duty trucks, and two and three wheelers. Contract manufacturing, engineering services, product support, and vehicle hire extend its role beyond vehicle sales.

The corporation combines industrial development with efforts to build a broader mobility ecosystem. Its objectives include localizing mobility parts, components, systems, and services; establishing dependable charging infrastructure; and contributing to integrated mass transit across Uganda and the surrounding region. Kiira Motors also invests in skills development for participants in the mobility value chain, including electric bus operator training. Ownership is shared by the Government of the Republic of Uganda and Makerere University, linking the enterprise to national industrial development and academic engineering expertise.
