Irizar S. Coop

Passenger transport vehicle design and manufacturing have defined Irizar S. Coop. since its founding in 1889. The cooperative produces buses and coaches for urban, interurban and tourist transport, with a portfolio that includes the i8, i6S Efficient, i6, i4 and i3 coach families, as well as the ie bus, ie tram and ie truck. Its vehicles are available with diesel, biodiesel, HVO, natural gas, electric and hydrogen powertrains. The company also supplies complete coaches, building on its transition from coach bodywork manufacturing to its own vehicle brand and full coach range.

Irizar operates as a Basque industrial cooperative, a structure adopted in 1963 to involve member workers in company management. Its production centre network extends across Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, South Africa and Asia Pacific, complemented by company delegations in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Benelux and the United States, plus European distribution coverage. The group has developed electromobility activity for cities through Irizar e-mobility, covering electric vehicles and their principal components and systems. Sales and service operations are supported by a network for maintenance, repair and spare parts, while vehicle configuration and used vehicle activity complement its new vehicle business.
