HEG Limited manufactures graphite electrodes and graphite specialties, with graphite representing 80% of company revenue. Its graphite electrode division produces ultra-high-power, or UHP, grade electrodes and nipples for electric arc furnace applications. The integrated Mandideep facility also supports carbon and graphite product development. The company has expanded its UHP electrode range for use in demanding customer furnaces and supplies these products internationally. Its carbon science and technology program covers conventional carbon products, advanced carbon materials, carbon nanotubes, carbon fibers, carbon specialties, process technology, and material characterization.

Established in 1977 through a technical and financial collaboration with Société des Électrodes et Réfractaires Savoie, a Pechiney subsidiary, the company operates graphite production facilities on about 170 acres. The plant has an annual capacity of 100,000 MT of UHP-grade electrodes and three captive power generation facilities totaling about 77 MW. More than 70% of production is exported to over 30 countries. Global warehouses hold inventory for just-in-time delivery. Its dedicated research and development operation tests raw materials and product properties, conducts laboratory graphite processing, and uses analytical equipment for surface area, porosity, thermal behavior, graphitization, strength, and microstructural evaluation.
