Kumar Organic Products Limited manufactures specialty ingredients for hair care, hair growth, skin care, sun care, oral care, food and health, paints and coatings. Its business segments also include antibacterial ingredients, preservatives, emollients and bioferments. The company develops active ingredients through chemical processes, biotransformation and biofermentation, with product development supported by formulation work and application research. Its portfolio includes patented Kopsova 105, isosorbide dithioglycolate, a depilatory active, and Kopexil Aqua, a hair growth stimulant. The company has operated in the specialty ingredients industry since 1991.

The company operates five manufacturing units and two research centres, including a research centre established in 2001 with laboratories for cell biology, synthetic process development, biotechnology, microbiology, analytical research, applications and scale-up. Its manufacturing capacity exceeds 8,000 MT, and it serves customers in more than 80 countries through distribution networks and offices. Development capabilities include microbial fermentation, biocatalysis, enzymatic reactions, biopolymers, biopeptides and ferment extracts, as well as custom manufacturing of molecules. Manufacturing facilities are USFDA-inspected and GMP-compliant and hold ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, while selected products are REACH-registered and a hexylresorcinol product holds a European Pharmacopoeia certificate of suitability.
