Its human health business centers on heparin, an anticoagulant used to prevent and treat thrombosis, alongside ingredients of biological origin including thyroid, chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine, native type II collagen, and hyaluronic acid. The company also serves pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, veterinary, agricultural, and animal nutrition markets. Its plant health activity addresses crop stress and agricultural productivity, while its animal health operations cover companion animal care, nutrition for production animals, and feed ingredients.

Founded in 1975, the company operates nine production centers across Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany, the United States, Chile, and Brazil, and exports more than 100 products to 80 countries. Its vertically integrated supply chain, developed with SARIA Food&Pharma, extends from biological raw materials through final distribution and emphasizes product traceability, safety, and quality. A circular bioeconomy model transforms biological co-products into ingredients for health applications, with more than 90 percent of co-products recycled. Research and development combines regulatory expertise, industrial resources, and collaboration with international partners, supported by 40 research projects and work with more than 30 research centers.
